Artwork Submission Guidelines
Artwork Submission

It is preferred that files be uploaded directly to our FTP via our website through the Upload Artwork page. If this is not an option, you may e-mail files 4mb or less to Graphics@ELBusa.com Files may also be sent to our mailing address at: 1831 W. Rose Garden LN, Ste: 10 Phoenix, Arizona 85027. If mailing please include the following: 250 or 100 MB Zip (mac or PC) or CD Rom.

Please refer to layout guides for artwork specifications. Please follow templates as closely as possible, especially when background is full bleed. There is NO art work setup fee on any ELB USA giveaway products.

Artwork Format

An original, hard copy art should be clean of any smudges or wrinkles. Note: a canned image can only look as good as the art provided. Small text and detail will look blurred.

For MAC files:
Artwork and logos should be provided as Macintosh Illustrator EPS files (up to version CS). Illustrator file fonts need to be converted to outlines or all fonts must be included (postscript). All files must be in CMYK, not RGB.

  • Adobe Illustrator (ver. CS)
  • Adobe Photoshop (ver. 7.0)
  • Macromedia Freehand
  • Quark Express 5.0
For PC files:
  • Adobe Illustrator (ver. 10.0)
  • Macromedia Freehand

If the files are Raster Images (such as a scanned image or picture), they need to be at least 300 dpi in CMYK mode (not RGB).
Photoshop EPS files need to be saved as 'Binary'.
Photoshop Tiff files need to be saved as Macintosh Byte Order' (do not select LZW compression).

Please do NOT send the following types of files: JPEG images, as these are compressed image files and will give blurry images when output to process printing (tend to be low resolution).
Tiff files are preferred for photographs.

All other file formats will be reviewed to determine the best course of artwork setup and an estimate prepared accordingly.

Proof:  This is the most important stage of the ordering process.

Upon completion of a proof, the graphics department will e-mail it in a digital format to each customer for review (keep in mind that printing processes use CMYK and monitors display colors in RGB). Faxed or hard copy paper proofs can also be sent to clients as an alternative.

WE WILL NOT ALTER A CUSTOMER'S CAMERA READY ARTWORK UNLESS REQUESTED AND ACKNOWLEDGED IN WRITING.

IT IS THE CUSTOMER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO VERIFY ALL CMYK VALUES CONTAINED IN ORIGINAL ARTWORK PRIOR TO SUBMISSION. We are not responsible for output that does not match the client's desired intent should the artwork contain incorrect CMYK percentages.

THE CUSTOMER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR APPROVING THIS PROOF AND A SIGNATURE IS NEEDED in order to proceed with production. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ERRORS OR OMISSIONS ON PROOF SIGNED OFF BY CUSTOMER.
